It’s not every day we get to cut a little T. Swift AND Britney Spears into a soundscore for a wedding day — but Serene and Trey? They’re something else. These two know HOW to throw a party, and keep the energy lighthearted and playful.

Laughter billowed off this black and white checkered dance floor. The stunning ceremony backed up to the mouth of the Ashley River bank. And a bubble send off?? The Carriage House at Magnolia Plantation is one of the most iconic wedding venues in Charleston.

Carriage House @ Magnolia Plantation Ceremony Details
The ceremony took place in gorgeous backlawn of the Carriage House at Magnolia Plantation, backing up to the water.
Cocktail Hour and Reception on the Back lawn at the Carriage House
Guests transitioned to cocktail hour, taking place alongside the black and white dance floor at the Carriage House, transitioning into a full dance party that evening with Darby Events rockin’ his live piano performance with his DJ set (he’s so talented!!)

How Did T. Swift AND Britney Spears Make It Into This Wedding Video? THE SOUNDSCORE
I’m so glad you asked. Music makes or breaks a wedding film. Music is the lifeblood of our narratives.
We asked Serene and Trey if they have any particular songs or “vibes” they love, and our girl Serene CAME THRU with the most baller DJ set, Big Bootie Mix Vol. 18 by DJ Two Friends as a baseline of the energy they love to get down to, and this mix was the perfect blank check of soundscoring brilliance to build from (Also… we got sucked into the wormhole of watching how creative these DJ mashups are - they incorporate each song’s music video for the segment they’re mixing… for AN HOUR AND A HALF. The video editing gods shine upon these creatives!! Holy cow!)
Serene mentioned she loves the Love Story song by T. Swift and had a moment during the reception where she was lifted up on the shoulders of the boys, and Trey, too, so she wanted to hear a sample of Love Story in the mix of her soundscore.
We picked two fun, vibey segments of the DJ mash up we thought would fit the ethos of their celebration.
Serene and Trey have such an obvious class mixed with gentle, open hearted playful energy; so we wanted to build a soundscore to match.
I threw in one of my favorite soulful options, TEEKS to bring the viewer into the soulful, sentimental moments of the beginning of the day, and Alabama Haint is another darling one (I’ve been holding onto for QUITE some time waiting for the right couple!!) that matched the tenderness of their wedding ceremony perfectly. We turned it back up to 11 when the reception kicked off with the Big Bootie Mix, taking them through their fantastic Bubble Send off.
The Bubble Send Off: We’re A Little Bit Obsessed
We’ve seen thousands of sparkler exits; but a vibey bubble send off?? YES, PLEASE. This was SUCH a fun way for them to cap the night. With a few bubble guns in the mix and guests having their own bubble wands; Serene and Trey went off in style (I mean, that second dress of hers… absolutely stunning.)
