You’ll find Emily and Jason Sisneros physically connected at one point or another, looking upon their friends and community with delight celebrating their win. Their give-you-the-shirt-off-their-back vibe and being surrounded by their “outcast” motley crew of dear friends echoed this magnanimous energy. This is their Magnolia Plantation Wedding Day story.

My ears always prick when any of my clients express an ounce of trailblazer, forerunner, innovator “rebel” energy.

Doing a quick look at their social profiles prior to our first phone call, my heart was so full of the opportunity to connect with these two innovator mover-and-shakers and see a glimpse into their day-to-day rhythm together.

Jason, a keynote speaker, military veteran, serial entrepreneur, and fellow podcast host — his masculine strength so beautifully complements Emily’s tender yet fierce feminine energy. Emily, a fellow founder in the legal space, and their paths crossed at a Tony Robbins conference.

Together these two embody a regal, inclusive, welcoming presence that makes you want to yell at the top of your lungs and climb and overcome every mountain in your life.

Let’s Talk About The Soundscore.

In our creative process, I always ask for clients’ blessings to give me a creative greenlight to intuitively build the sound design and soundscore for their wedding day collection, and Emily and Jason gave me the full thumbs up.

The realm of sound scoring is what my dreams are made of. Music informs the soul of the ethereal overtones that color a moment.

Observing their BIG vibe and energetic presence… I got to sift through the metaphorical vinyl crates and pull out a few BANGERS. Namely, “Power Couple” by one of my all-time favorites, Labrinth. This song carries meaning into my inner reality with my partner, the song echoes the sentiments of a warrior, a crazed lover, a protector fiercely acknowledging his lovers’ path, what they’ve been through, and the lengths this warrior mate is willing to go to, the savagery they intrinsically embody to cover and cherish their lover.

The refined musicality kept presenting itself for weeks as I considered all the millions of songs in the world to be a similar hue to the energy Emily and Jason cultivate together.

With Emily’s wholehearted consent (given there’s a handful of F-bombs in the song, it’s important to check with clients to respect their communities and values), this gem of a song was greenlighted to take you into the power and beauty of this incredible wedding day at Magnolia Plantation.

“The palpable thread woven into Emily and Jason’s wedding community was a commitment to pursuing excellence, being your whole self, and embracing those around you as one of your own. ”

It’s rare to have an entire bridal party have a feeling of family, but this mix of firecracker POWERHOUSE fierce women (Maddie you’re an angel!! And Ashley - we can’t handle all that sass!! This crew kept a perpetual smile on our faces with their antics) and these warrior-hearted men, it was such a blast to celebrate and document this squad.

I brought in some Odesza to ring the reception celebration in. Odesza’s music is threaded with magic, and Emily and Jason’s evening transformed from POWERFUL speeches into an ethereal dance party amidst cold sparklers and a bangin’ DJ Set (Shout out to DJ Mike Tech and Erin, Co-DJ with the BIGGEST energy and the cutest preggo belly of all time!!)

This day unfolded so preciously with the team of Julie and Harley of Tara LeClaire events — this crew made it happen and pulled together such a lovely evening.

Pages Okra Grill (hello chicken sliders) brought their A-Team catering team, who had the most uplifting, positive interactions — honestly, the BEST energy and presence rockin’ those stations and getting the guests excited about what was coming up next. Full Slay.

And of course, one of our favorites - CHUG-A-LUG WAGON absolutely crushed the bar scene — rockin’ an open bar (with an amazing bartender team!! They always had a cocktail on the ready for Jason and Emily in between photoshoot ops!), and their signature epic nostalgic truck sportin’ local brews — they knocked it out of the park.
